D. Knight Landscapes is a family run business based in Colchester, Essex. We are a reputable and professional landscaping company with over 40 years of experience in the building trade. Our professional skilled staff built a reputation of creating beautiful landscaping and providing a reliable, quality service.
OUR HISTORY
Our family run business was established in 1978 by Derek Knight. Below are some photos of where of where it all began. Photos such as Derek and his son in law David working and Derek working with his son working in 2006.
You can also see photos of Derek and his son Richard when Richard was a toddler before following in his footsteps. You can fast forward to today where you can see photos of the current team, along with Richard's parents who are still a part of the family business.

D Knight landscapes is a team of workers made up of skilled and knowledgable landscapers.
Owner of D Knight Landscapes, Richard, after working for his farther for 15 years took over the company in 2020. Richard Not only learnt his skills of working in landscaping with Derek, also studied at Otley collage, completing a landscape garden design course. Which has found very helpful when helping customers design their gardens.
A member of the team Leyton started off as an apprentice working for the company whilst completing a diploma in horticulture and landscaping at Writtle college. Now after being with the team for 3 years, Leyton has become a great asset to the company.
Each Richard and Leyton pride them self in great knowledge of not only landscaping but planting schemes and design ideas, to help customers love their gardens.
